3D Bioprinted Hard Scaffolds
CFI
(CranioFacial Implants)
Product name
TnR Craniofacial implant
Purpose
CFI is a resorbable implant used in the reconstruction and repair of defects resulting from skull trauma or surgeries such as burr holes restoration and craniotomy.
About the product
CFI is a 3D-bioprinted and biocompatible scaffold made of PCL (Polycaprolactone) and β-TCP (Tricalcium phosphate) used for repairing defects caused by skull trauma or surgery. The implant can be used alone or fixed with screws (not included in the product).
The unique porous structure of this implant supports cell migration inside the scaffold. Over the years, the scaffold is gradually degraded via hydrolysis and resorbed in the body and finally replaced with the body’s new tissue.
