Cardiac Patch (TnR huHeart) | ||||
TnRhuHeart is a pre-vascularized cardiac patch being developed for end-stage heart failure patients.
The patch is composed of spatial patterning of dual stem cells formulated in tissue specific bioink to improve differentiation capability of the stem cells and, thus, promote vascularization. TnRhuHeart demonstrated increased neo-muscle and capillary formation along with improvement in cardiac function in rat myocardial infarction model. We are optimizing the patch composition for further development.

3D Catilage therapy (TnR huCartilage) | ||||
TnRhuCartilage is a 3D bioprinted multilayered construct for regeneration of osteochondral defect with superficial knee cartilage and subcondral bone. An acellular scaffold for bone regeneration is printed, and cells for cartilage regeneration are printed on it with tissue specific bioink.
The acellular scaffold acts as an anchor for the printed cells which, otherwise, may be easily washed out from the defect after administration. TnRhuCartilage proved its efficacy for cartilage regeneration in a rabbit knee joint defect (Published). The 3D construct is being optimized for further evaluation and preclinical development.
